We are counting down to the No Kings 3 event with Indivisible Lambertville/New Hope Saturday, March 28! They are expecting a MASSIVE turnout. Here is information that may help everyone feel a little more comfortable and a little more safe. Wear yellow if you have it, and bring your signs!
Important: A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
Start to Finish: Plan on arriving at the rally site between 9:30-9:45 am. The speakers will begin at 10:00 am with plans for the march to begin by 10:30. Please keep the group together as much as possible as we step off, with groups interspersed with non-group-related activists. In addition, there will be Peacekeepers and Safety Marshalls mixed in with the marchers who are trained in de-escalation and know what to do if there is a health or medical issue. First responders will be on standby. The march will end with a celebration complete with drummers and dancers on the lawn at the New Hope-Solebury High School.
Parking: Please carpool as much as possible. Arrange to meet your people offsite before heading to Lambertville and New Hope. That said, we have put together a map of parking lots and spaces that also includes locations of public restrooms. NOTE that many spaces are paid parking (designated as such on the map), and may use the ParkMobile app which can be downloaded from Google Play or the APP Store. Further, a suggestion for those who may be heading to other events is to park in New Hope, either at the high school or in the Triumph Brewery lot. Link to parking map
Finding Your People: There will be designated areas for each group, marked by signs sticking out of traffic cones. Look for the NHS Dems banner! Group areas will be staged on the west side of South Union in Lambertville (closest to the old bank).
Words to the Chants and Songs: Of course we’ll be raising our voices loud and clear! There will be chant leaders to help get things started and every voice counts. That said, remember to rest your voice from time to time. A chorus only works because not everyone takes a breath at the same time and so it is with this event. Words to the chants and songs here
Public Restrooms: ACME Theater/ Phillip L. Pittore Justice Center, 25 South Union Street, (Lambertville) and The Free Library of New Hope and Solebury, 93 W. Ferry Street (New Hope)
